I've seen it referred to as the 'Henri Stern deployant clasp' and basically has the appearance of the standard tang style buckle but with the deployant mechanism. I believe that both deployant styles are available (Calatrava and Stern) and best I can tell it's a matter of style preference, they are functionally the same.

I spent a "fortune" on them in the past, but today I prefer a buckle most of the time. Not only because of the understatement. At the end it is just a matter of taste and habit. Oliver
I put all my watches on a pin buckle,
even the 5070 or the Daytona 116518, for both safety and comfort reasons. It is much more comfortable for smaller wrists. Original pin buckles do not come cheap, though... Cheers, R

There is a newer style deployant that features a Stern buckle rather than the Calatrava cross within a circle. It's really much more discreet in appearance.

The ADs that I visited only have the cross style deployant on their watches. My 5146 is 3 month old and it came with the Calatrava Cross deployant.
