You've already seen the 5170J last week but this time I can share some live pics. As always the BaselWorld conditions are not ideal for pics, still I hope you'll find the watch appealing. Once again the Patek Philippe star is an understated beauty. The be...
I'm not feeling it. It's neither here nor here. Maybe the white metal or RG version with a different dial may help. But right now, I rather have a true vintage. 5950A is GORGEOUS in real pictures. Thank you Jerome. *CL
I think your comments must be part of why I feel no blinding urge to buy, or reserve an example--or even feel big excitement about the color variations (although, I must admit, when this dial gets Arabic numerals, probably on the pt version... it will bec...
many thanks... true, very difficult to take great pictures at the event... however you took us there.... and it was enjoyable.... can't wait to see it in metal.... cheers
As much as the 5170J is a dream we would all want to come true, there are other dreams you just can't dream to see happen! Those two watches, and specially the first one, are occupying the exact opposite situation to the 5170 on the Patek Philippe range o...
but it is one's dreams that make one's life whole. The 5950A is definitely love at first sight for me. Wondering if there will be a 5950p down the road? And last but not least, thank you Jerome for all the nice pics. Cheers, WS
How depressing is that? Not one for chronos (dunno why, just don't get it) but the 5950 is tugging pretty hard, I must say. But was an illusion or did I really see the retail price published somewhere at over 300K Euros?
"will we see these type of numerals on a simple Calatrava?" Yes on the 5196P! And this is, in my opinion one of the main reasons which makes this particular Calatrava so enchanting.:) Cheers, Francois
Let me begin to say to those who love the slate grey dial of the original 5960 that the original is not discontinued but completed by this gorgeous blued dialed version. The perfect colour for enjoying the greatness of life After four years of life the 59...
Dje, This is my top choice from this year's offerings. I have the unfortunate habit of wanting multiple variations of the same watch, once I discover what I really like, and I really like my 5960P. These photos give me my target for next Xmas. Thanks for ...
Patek Philippe reference 5980/1A has been one of the most looked after complicated pieces in the last years. The blue dialed version in steel is still offered but is now completed by a second dial variation of charcoal to black nuances. Patek Philippe 598...
The 5170 is great indeed, but ofcourse they had too. It is a watch wcich is good enough to be the successor of the 5070. Must be great to own both. If only 1 is possible ,... you guys know my choice ;-)
The live pictures are particularly convincing IMO that this year's range of Pateks was overall very nice, with one truly outstanding, amazing, just brilliant (to me) watch that goes into Daos' Ridiculously Attractive Watches Archive (My personal highest h...
thanks for a wonderful report Dje. great to see all these exciting new PP's coming along...while most of them are completely out of my range, some are om my radar... I am very much fond of the 5960 and i think the way PP does the annual calender is really...
How did you manage to get those pics, my friend? Thanks for this post. I have to think about the 5170 ...As I don't really what to think. Best, Nicolas
Too perfect for me, with some serious imperfections... See, for example, the pulsometer ring, which is eaten by the 2 counters. Then, the Roman XII and 6 are not my taste at all. On the other side, the movement is better included on the 5170 than on the 5...
I agree with most things you say but not about the case. for be the 5070's case is one of the mosr beautifull cases I ever saw. and I can't see a reason whyt the 5170's case would be more elegant
I prefer the 5070. The new watch seem me on e clatrava....but it's good the new pulsation climb. (excusme for my english but I have not studied english)
a very elegant chrono.dress watch (not too big, not too small). I'm looking at the the most recent Antiquorum catelog (2nd page) shows a vintage Patek 1463 two register chronograph. The similarities are clearly apparent,... right down to the straight swor...
