new models/variants like Ref. 5960/1A, 5990/1A, 5951P ...

Let´s have a first look on the new Nautilus Travel Time Chronograph in steel, which replaces all former Nautilus chronographs in steel.

Ref 5960/1A

First impression: I like it a lot, for several reasons.

Next one is the successor of all former Ref. 5960´s, the 5960/1A-001

Note: Don´t even think that it is "black & white", it´s not. If you look closer you can see that it is more about "shades of grey".

First impression: I find it interesting and think it could grow on me.

Ref. 5951P is not new, but this time in two new more understated and less sporty versions: 5951P-012 and -013

First impression: I like them a lot.

Ref. 5271P-001 is also a new variation and this time with gem setting.

First impression: I like it for what it is, but it´s not me.

Ref. 5940G-001 is the new brother of the known J version, with some minor changes on the dial.

First impression: I like it a lot, to say the least.

That´s not all, but that´s it for tonight. More to come ...

Oliver

About the Patek Philippe Grand Complications Ref. 5271

The Patek Philippe Grand Complications Reference 5271 represents a distinguished variant within the brand's perpetual calendar chronograph lineage, known for its integration of precious stones. This reference is characterized by its specific aesthetic, setting it apart from other iterations of the 5270 series, which are primarily defined by their metal and dial configurations. The 5271 is a testament to Patek Philippe's mastery in combining high horology with haute joaillerie, appealing to collectors who seek both mechanical complexity and gem-setting artistry.

This particular reference typically features a platinum case, often adorned with baguette-cut diamonds on the bezel and lugs, providing a luxurious presentation. It houses the manually wound Caliber CH 29-535 PS Q, a movement celebrated for its innovative chronograph mechanisms and integrated perpetual calendar. The movement offers a substantial power reserve, ensuring reliable timekeeping and complication display. A sapphire crystal protects the dial, allowing for clear legibility of the intricate indications.

The 5271 appeals to a discerning segment of collectors who value the rarity and craftsmanship of gem-set grand complications. Its position within the broader 5270 family highlights Patek Philippe's strategy of offering diverse expressions of its core complications, from understated precious metal versions to highly embellished examples. The integration of diamonds on the case elevates its collector appeal, marking it as a significant piece for those who appreciate both technical prowess and decorative artistry in watchmaking.

Ref. 5271P-001 is quite interesting, perhaps the MOST interesting

And here is why It looks like it has the dial of a 5970 and abandons the mishaps fo the 5270 dials - So it has the tachy like the new dial 5270, but not the "chin" or "bump" at 6 o clock - It also has a different layout for the numbers on the tach (they go around the perimeter instead of being in a straight line outwards) - And there is the inner 0 to 60 makers too This is all very interesting and very reminiscent of the design of the 5970! (and of the 2499!!) Maybe they will introduce a 5270 wi

If you are the one that convinced him

Then I thank you from the bottom of my heart =) The 5271 dial is so much better, in fact I may like it more than the 5970 dial (!!)

Yes!

Oliver, I'm already taken with the 5960/1-A. It solves the problem of wearing the previous 5960s in heat and humidity. As an owner of several variants of this reference, I'm very pleased that the dial is so different from the others. Thank you for the quick photos. Park
