Apathetic...but
Frankly the addition of Tiffany and Co on the dial does not matter very much to me. The font is relatively small so that in my opinion it does not detract from the beauty of the dial. Also although we don't want to admit it as we are paying for this very expensive watch, it is nice to know that if we need to sell it for whatever reason, those Tiffany and Co. words on the dial may help to maintain (if not Increase) value.
Besides the words on the dial may bring back pleasant experiences at this boutique. I have always been treated very well, even when I did not have a Patek on my wrist.

Insofar as ambivalence is the state of having simultaneous conflicting feelings, it seems a good way to describe it. I personally dislike it on modern watches since it adds clutter and my primary "brand value" comes from the watch rather than the retailer...

I have one watch with Tiffany stamped on the dial, a
3923. On that watch, the placement and the size of the lettering is not disruptive to its appearance, but I would rather it not be there if I had a choice. There just seems so much fuss about dials and the value demanded for some pieces ... simply amazing...
