The attractive hand-winding chronographs released after the 5070 was discontinued are the 5710 and 5712. But the Lange 1815 Flyback Chrono is also a nice addition.
The Lange 1815 Chrono has a black dial, but depending on the lighting it can look more navy than the 5712. ...

But I prefer the refined design and finishing of the PP cases. The Lange cases are more or less all the same

Out of these 3 - the 5172 for me.
All three suffer from the same droopy subdials. Lange movement is a little above Patek, but certainly not by a lot. Case work on 5170 is a little simple for me. The 5172 is brilliant, not just the triple-stepped lugs, also the sides are more complex then ...
For handwound chronos - these are the best contenders
I looked very closely at the Lange 1815 chrono (early and current versions) but couldn't love the case nor dial. The 5170 (breguet numerals) won easily in those areas. I thought the 5172 dial was unnecessarily large and thought that size might not age wel...
