Actually you excited my curiosity, I was pretty sure that the strap and bracelet would somehow be compatible and it seems it's not the case...

I googled "Patek Nautilus Strap" and found a few results of which a specific brand called RubberB, and they advertise an after market rubber strap but it is clearly mentioned that it is not compatible with the bracelet versions (neither SS nor gold !), which means that you might have no option in such case.
Further down there was also a video on youtube on how to change Nautilus' strap : www.youtube.com

And there you can see the various steps and also clearly see that the strap has a slot where you should slide in part of the watch before screwing down the strap.
Lastly I don't know how the bracelet is fit, it could be / seems that it is not the same mechanism... I am afraid there are no solutions to your problem. Maybe worth asking an AD directly you must not be the first one to ask !!
