5935a - worldtime flyback

Jan 31, 2025,12:23 PM

Two complications I don’t think were coupled together before 2015.

However, for me, they work wonderfully and are both used often on a daily basis.

I did usually wear my 5270 most days but very much enjoying this now. Just thought I’d share.

Enjoy your weekend

A very legible worldtime!

Getting older I lost interest in WT and PC but this is the most legible one I have seen in a long time, is that a 42mm?

Dial and case are always my two starting points.

This is on the bigger side, perhaps if 1.5mm thinner and 2mm narrower, maybe it would be perfect. Thankfully I’m ok with bigger watches, flat top wrist.

Beautiful.

I just opened our website and that is a great photo to see to start the day. What a stunning watch!

I almost caved and swapped the strap

But my amazing AD with lots of knowledge explained the pairing and the matte texture grain calf leather certainly gives that contrast to show off the dial more.

This is amazing

I completely missed that Patek had done this before. Every day is a school day with watch collecting. Thank you for sharing.

Great piece!

I had the chance to try it a couple days ago, even though it’s 41mm it looks wonderful on small wrists ( like mine ) too. Plus it has world time and fly back chrono complications, in steel, what’s not to like!

I hadn't actually tried it on until last year

I never found an AD or Patek Boutique that had it on display. But fortunately I got to try it at an event last summer and the 5930p Pt WT flyback. Despite the Pt being smaller at 39.5mm, it actually felt like it wore the same on the wrist but the Pt was t...

Love the strap which

matches the salmon dial really well 👍 Travel time is great when you go overseas. When do you use the chrono function for ?

I’m glad I didn’t change it, I have a lovely caramel alligator Patek strap.

I nearly put that on but my Patek AD specialist knows his stuff and explained how well the matte works and it really does. My use case is an interesting dynamic. In the day I have business in over 30 local markets, time zones are very useful. As soon as I...

Thanks for sharing, Oldskoo.

I am tempted to get this beauty too, and find it’s salmon dial with carbon motif and stainless steel case/ deployant clasp most attractive. Cheers, Henry
