i was walking past my AD 2 days ago without any intention of going in, but my contact saw me and excitedly asked me to take a look at this watch...

obviously, i couldn't buy it then 😒 but it's still good to be able to look at the watch in the metal and try it on the wrist, unlike some time back when the displays were mostly empty

About the Patek Philippe Ref. 5935

The Patek Philippe Reference 5935 is a notable World Time Chronograph, distinguished by its integration of two highly regarded complications within a single timepiece. This reference builds upon Patek Philippe's long history of world time watches, combining the utility of a global time display with the precision of a chronograph function. It represents a contemporary interpretation of a complex horological tradition, designed for the modern collector who appreciates both technical sophistication and practical utility.

This reference features a case crafted from precious metal, housing a self-winding mechanical movement. The caliber is engineered to manage both the world time display, allowing for simultaneous reading of time in 24 different time zones, and the chronograph function, typically operated via pushers integrated into the caseband. The watch is fitted with a sapphire crystal, ensuring durability and clarity for the dial.

For collectors, the 5935 holds significance as a modern Patek Philippe complication watch. Its combination of a flyback chronograph and world time function positions it as a sophisticated offering within the brand's complicated watch lineup. The reference appeals to those who seek a highly functional and technically advanced timepiece, reflecting Patek Philippe's continued innovation in complex watchmaking.

Gorgeous dial

but did you feel that the watch was slightly too large for your wrist as the lugs seem to be sticking out?!

oh yes, it did feel big and i would prefer the size of the 5230P

Me too!

The movement would definitely have fitted in a smaller case and I don't think the legibility on the dial would have been compromised.

i thought perhaps it could do without the chronograph function and therefore, could have a smaller case? 😅
