3970p or 5970p (inspired by the recent thread by amanico)
Recently, amanico brought up an interesting topic about Platinum PCCs. I thought about it a lot, but my favorite is the 3970p second version that I got last year. left 3970p & right 5970p
However, IMHO, the later versions of the 3970 had some changes to the details of the dial, and while it has the same (attractive) black dial, I think the 5970p, which is beautifully crafted with a modern flair, wins in terms of gorgeousness and balance.
That’s why I really appreciate the leaf dial and rectangular indexes on the 3970. The case structure, which has a strong handmade feel, is particularly outstanding.

I generally love just about any watch…
and I have deep appreciation for classical watch making. 10 years back, I may have been attracted to a perpetual calendar or a perpetual chrono, but alas I don’t consider these high complications any more and I personally am interested in innovation more ...
Your point is well taken
What was made by a few companies years ago are made by many now. It reminds me of the U.S. Olympic basketball team which dominated the world years ago, and then the rest of the world caught up. Yes, they win gold, but the competition is much fiercer.

It actually depends on one's wrist size!
The smaller wristed folk like myself may be partial to the 3970 with its 36.5mm diameter while the larger wristed folk may prefer the 40mm 5970. Saying that one might argue that the 5970 is more balanced since the 13mm height in the 3970 might appear too ...
I've never seen any of those in the flesh...
