I do not think Patek informed the numbers of London pieces.

What I heard was "maximum 5 each". Best, Kari

But small production does not make the watch any nicer or better.

Stunning "Vintage" 5970J

 By: tahoeblue : August 1st, 2019-22:21
I don't think it is quite correct to say that these "vintage series" watches (such as this 5970J with brown dial) were produced for the London Exhibition, even though that is where they were first shown. Several were sold some years later. Or maybe 5 were...

Has sources that have the inside track (so they say) but who really knows without a shadow of a doubt. Have to wonder why on some of the releases PP didnt give the actual number???

So would you say Patek would be a good source????

 By: Miles_151 : August 21st, 2019-00:30
I would. Most urban rumours are started by dealers who want to buy them or people who can’t source one. M.

Where did Patek say it's an LE of 5?

 By: Patekphilippecollector : August 21st, 2019-03:59
On the 3940 / 5070 / 5950 I dont believe they did....my question is they did for the 5159 etc so why not these

I had an email from them

Public domain to cut out speculation once and for all. Collected Man quoted "believe less than 10" K2 about 5 but it still begs the question why it wasnt published...what's the secret? As a side I sourced the 3940 a friend and there was no indication of ...

Sorry can’t. I thought that would be what you asked.

A few have seen it. It only applies to the 5970 Salmon at the time of the Exhibition and it’s not 10,17 or 5. M.
