+1 on both statements in the title. At least from what I can see from initial reactions, both 5968G will be a big success, but the A (also because of price) *might* remain a favorite of the group. This will give hope to lots of collectors! ;-) Cheers.

I think we have a pretty large variety here -- seven models are really a lot, but certainly the focus has been more on the Ladies offerings this time (which I find pretty remarkable in breadth)...

Thanks, I would honestly expect a stiff competition for the two new 5968 models (despite the choice of precious metal), but they are certainly worth a try, especially since the 5968 is now in three declinations..;-)

2021 Aquanaut & Nautilus
New Aquanaut and Nautilus references are all fine. But PP needs to be careful moving forward. Too many different colors (dials, straps) of the exact same references are starting to show up each year - or every 2 years. Either discontinue earlier variation...

There should always be room for improvement.
I know it is a common feature for years and that was the reason why I never pulled the trigger for the Aquanaut and I do like the concept, with the rubber strap.
The point is that what you consider an improvement would make it look worse for others. No universal truth here.

The 5267 is what the modern era Ladies (or even unisex?) Aquanaut should be. Great case size, diamonds, updated and more fitting strap and clasp. Quartz or mechanical. Perfection. Bravo for that.

Blue one, seen this morning in the Salon. Quite thick, heavy.. you need a real wrist for it... A priori the same as the steel one, but in gold with a specific dial. Price is 150% of the steel ... Good luck for those looking for it ... ...
At almost 39mm, if there will be watches without stones in the future I can see many men going for the “ladies” watch.
It’s kinda like the Pilot, in reality the smaller Pilot wears better for a lot of people.

As for the men’s releases, the green & blue are appealing. But I think the steel version with orange accents is still more desirable.
Though I continue to be extremely happy with my choice of the 5164. Pleasingly symmetrical while being a very useful complication for travel.

I also prefer the 5968A version. These watches are meant to be worn sporty and having a G version doesn’t go with the everyday wear mantra. It will be a scratch magnet…

I would really enjoy wearing the green 5968g but madness in demand makes this a rather unlikely purchase unfortunately... for me that is... but if given the opportunity would be delighted to wear!

I can understand the point of view of those that say there is nothing new under the sun here. If you were only to look at this current release, I might agree. But look back to just a few months back where there has been release after release after release...
Glad you enjoyed the releases, and thanks for your feedback. I think there's little doubt the combination of quality, breadth, and depth of Patek's offering is unique and unparalleled...just to mention one factor that make it the undisputed #1! ;-)
And we are not even done for this year! I agree that since you're already covered in terms of green Aquanauts (even before this color got "rediscovered" by everyone this year, hence double congrats! ;-)), a good choice for you next might be a blue sports ...

Go with a green dial; plonk existing calibers into a ready cases ; change a strap and there you go; Another Aquanaut set is born; and perhaps being positioned by Patek as a Nautilus alternative to some extent. Good marketing strategy from Patek to exploit...
