i wanted to share my joy of collecting 1972 King Seiko back from polishing.
There was case restoration - zaratsu polishing including welding new material to corners and crystal restoration as well ( those crystals are almost imposible to get nowadays - so I decided to give a try refurbishment).
Now that is the mark of a true collector. To restore a watch not with regard to its commercial value but to its true value. It’s magnificent. Well done. [nt]
Marvelous! So glad you let the "measles" stand—makes the whole thing for me. Bravo! IMHO what should be done to these really fine old pieces. Best greetings! FH [nt]
These old KS and GS are very special watches. The cases, the lines and angles. But they must be clean to really enjoy them and so I think this was a great decision.
For the most part, refinishing any aspect of a watch . . .

. . . raises issues for me. One notable exception would be Grand and King Seiko. They deserve to be brought back to their original splendor on account of being so special in the first place.
Thank you very much for all the opinions and kind words about my work. Below is a link to more photos from my work I greet all of you - Sławomir Ogiegło www.instagram.com
