No way

Not Vegan, but an Idea

I echo the sentiments shared by others in growing weary of the factory farm way of doing things. There is an underlying problem with having no connection between the food on our plates, and how it actually got there. I have been working to eat meat-protein which I have harvested myself. I am fortunate enough to live in an area with deer, turkey, elk and several fish species as possible options (with enough effort of course). Perhaps with the new year you could try filling the freezer with an animal you harvested?

Taking a break from meat-products overall is a good idea, especially to refresh the body from hoilday indulgences. Red Lentils are a household favourite for us, both satiating and full of fibre!

Hope you feel recharged and refreshed from the break in diet, and all the best in the new year

Not vegan but....

Hi,

I am not vegan but I have about 4 vegan meals per week. Partly it is health- reducing red meat intake, saturated, etc. Partly it is about the environment- reducing the demand for meat, reducing carbon footprint, etc.
And partly because I do love tofu and a lot of the very tasty meat replacements such as soya protein pieces and nuts.

I also LOVE meat and do feel that biologically, we are supposed to eat meat and seafood. So will never go full vegan.

Chi Kai

Thanks ALL for this surprisingly spicy thread! Very much appreciate everyone's input! [nt]
