Everybody knows the strong link between Rolex and the Pan Am. Rolex advertised it a lot.
It was logical that I took some 6542 / Pan Am goodies shots...

I love the old GMT's, although the bezels can be quite radiant. Here is mine on a non-original (UK made) gold bracelet. The watch was once owned by a secret agent that had his coat of arms engraved both in the caseback and in the bracelet clasp. If these watches could talk !!

Yes, Rolexes "were supplied to the successful Everest expedition" but, no, they were not taken to the summit. Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay wore Smiths, British watches.

Great shot with nice props. It is unavoidable to relate this historical Rolex with Pan Am and you got there some very nice items.
We can remember Pan Am flights with nostalgia and in connection with the glamour and pleasure of traveling by plane till perhaps the 1980âs.

... maker didn`t use a gilt paint? I know silver was used in some service dials but they were marked tritium, and this is not so marked. Only "Swiss".
