Looking for my first Daytona?
I’m torn between the new “Ghost” Daytona 126519LN” or the Black Dial 126519LN. Pics attached.
The black dial seems to be the most recent release of this model from 2023. The Ghost has been out a while in the previous model and now new model Daytona? (More online availability of info at least)
What direction would you go and why?
I too prefer the silver dial of the ghost, it has an effect that is hard to capture in photos.
My SO however prefers the watch in the top pic. She says the sub registers look better proportioned and the that hour markers in white gold appear washed out on the silver dial, making the markers appear smaller vs the black dial.

I’d go with the black dial version…
From the photos it seems easier to read the subdiials and if you can’t read them at a glance then, IMHO, they aren’t much use.

I also prefer the black dial because I see a nice balance and distribution of contrasts.
Silver dial
is my personal preference between the two. Neither is a bad choice, imho.
For a classic
that will look the same and not outdated the black one, also seems like the dial has better readability. I can’t foresee how the silver one will look in the future, however if I was buying today I’d buy the silver one as it’s the more chic one between the two and looks better on the wrist imho.
