Hello Simone! Viewing your old 5513 makes me think again how cool these plexi/aluminum bezel inserts watches are. You know I´m a fan of the Submariner and own both those old ones...
... as well as the modern ceramic ones and though accepting that the new ones are technically much improved they lack (for my personal taste) the charm and coolness of those oldies which I enjoy so much wearing.
You have perfectly captured in your shot those sexy lug bevels (which the modern versions regrettably lack) and that adorable domed plexi.

My 5513 runs as smoothly as any new Submariner and Co., so, as far as I can tell and apart from the bracelet clasp and the water resistance, technical improvements are not a reason to prefer the new models to a good, old, charming 5513!
