I am not a Rolex man at all but for the first time ever, they have a chance to convert me to buy a Rolex but I guess they have such a huge clientele, they do not really need another convert!
In Malaysia, they are refusing to even put me on the list unless I buy another watch of a superior value. In the UK, they are not even taking names so I have no idea how I am ever going to get one even in 3 years time but I am more patient than most so I will wait. People normally like the latest product and hopefully the craze will die down by 2020.
Well, it is often the case with " new " Rolexes, but after a while it calms down. The Milgauss Green Glass, for example. Tough to get the first 18 months, then, quite easy to find. [nt]
Tudor GMT for me: to my taste, it design seems more "fresh" than the Rolex, despite its vintage look (and I really like the riveted steel bracelet!).

For myself the main no-go for Rolex is the bezel: too much wide and shiny with a quite fat font for numbers. Apart that, 2 great watches, one from a surprising brand, the other... less surprising.
Hi Prefer the more subdued bezel of Tudor & as I'm not a fan of bracelets again that is another plus. Still not wholly enthusiastic about crown tube on the Tudor, prefer the crown guards of the Rolex. On balance it's still the Tudor though Cheers JML
Prefer the Rolex hands but the whole watch has become too bling for me especially with the jubilee strap. Tudor case a bit thick. Looking forward to seeing the Tudor 58 in the flesh with the slimmer case.
I don't know if it fails. A GMT ala Tudor, with some obvious key elements from the 6542. A fiction. But I get your point, and one more vote for the Rolex: 7 - 11 for Rolex. [nt]
If the Rolex actually looked like the picture that you posted in real life, it would have been the winner by a mile. But as others have mentioned the bezel is actually purplish and dull, way less appealing than the old aluminum versions (or Tudor's).
