upgraded from SS Daytona to PAM390

so I just traded in my two month old SS black dial rolex daytona for a PAM390 + $4000. Im a bad businessman but a happy watch wearer.

even though I have tiny wrists (last hole on the OEM strap) I already feel more manly, like an asian jason statham. In fact, since putting on the PAM390, I feel an inexplicable urge to shave my head, drive my car super fast to the nearest MMA gym and start a fight with the biggest baddest mofo in the place.

The extra 4mm diameter of the panerai over a 40mm rolex seems to add 10mm to manliness (if you know what I mean, wink wink)

the PAM390 is a triumph of italian machismo and style over precision swiss engineering. Column wheels, integrated chronographs, and parachrom bleu (haha french words) are for the nerdy kids. undecorated base ETA movements in a 7k watch are for superheroes like me.

When I bought the SS daytona in march, I thought it would become my daily wearer, but I only wore it for about two weeks in two months. The daytona looked pretty good on me size wise because I have slender elven wrists but I disliked the polished surfaces and the finicky screw down pushers. Also, on my daytona, the chrono second hand wasnt aligned exactly at 60 it was .005mm to the left of 60 which drove me INSANE.

I got the AP Diver in December, upgraded to SS Daytona in March and just upgraded the Daytona to PAM390.

In my opinion, PAM390 >>>>>>>SS Daytona>>>>>>>>>AP Diver.

But that is because I am not a watchmaker and I will never pop the case back off my watch to fiddle around inside.

Just checked my wife and she does not want to have more...

So in average 38 mm seems to be just the right size for my 8 inches wrist.

I own 4 Pateks 2 AP's 3 rolexes and 1 Pam 390. My Pam doesn't make me feel more manly but does get more wrist time than most of my watches. Great choice wear it in good health as they say !

Your wrist is not too small at all. I think you wear it well.

Now you'll have to try on a 44mm 1950s case, which wears larger. Then you'll be on to a 47mm.....

elevator posing

I was a bit late to work this morning so I had the elevator all to myself. my office building elevator is basically a giant four way mirror so I was doing all kinds of wrist poses with my PAM390 and this super hot girl comes into the elevator on 21 and catches me wrist posing but I wasnt even embarassed because its a PAM390!

Thinking of a PAM210 or 337/338 or PAM112/176 next.

i have a 55C, also titanium. A bit like the 176 you are thinking about. Only no sandwich dial and not black. 55 is brown.

You can find 390s at some dealers already…and at MRP.
