The L'Astronomo is certainly a sight to behold...
Ogling over a nice watch and a nice bottle of wine...
Watches and wine share at least two things in common. They're best to be (1) enjoyed (not cellared away for eternity) and (2) to be enjoyed with other close friends. It's truly so much more fun to share a truly fantastic bottle of wine and digress over it with others than to drink it alone.
This watch shows Panerai is serious about its entry into high horology and overall it's an exceptional watch that combines the Celestial complication with very usable and pertinent information. The watch is even clever enough to have a quick adjustment for daylight savings time. Truly a watch that is meant to provide a large amount of useful information.
While the front conveys useful and important information for the time when the sun rises until the sun sets, the back features a much more romantic complication that is especially pertinent after the sun has already set. Combined with the tourbillon, I find the back of this watch especially fun and it makes this watch truly a pièce de résistance for many collectors.
Then, admire this watch while sharing a bottle of 2009 Caymus Special Selection Cabernet Sauvignon (a fantastic wine deserving of a review in itself) and you've got the ingredients for a wonderful evening. Thank goodness that the ingredients were put to good use with a wrist, a camera, and a corkscrew.

I honestly was thinking of you and our General Manager while drinking this Caymus wine.
Was also thinking of ED-209 and DRMW when I saw this...

Every one is customized for the owner's location...
Every model is customized to the owner's longitude and latitude. This is necessary to ensure proper sunset and sunrise times etc.

Caymus is one of my favorite cabs!! Especially the Special Selection 
Despite the PAM365's large case size (if I remember correctly it's around 50mm? +/- 1 mm), it fits very well on the wrist IMO. Definitely feels smaller than the AP T3 Offshore.

It is indeed 50MM, and I agree, it fits well on the wrist. I've never handled an AP T3 Offshore in person, but I was impressed with how well the Panerai 365 felt on the wrist.

Most of the time, I only have to look across to see the bottle and the glass of wine.

An accurate and true formula...
I find that even when I'm upset, looking at a nice watch with nice wine does create a perfect mood.
If you add a few friends into your formula, you'll get an even more perfect mood.

This is really Panerai effort at entering haute horology. Can you take a close up pic of the celestial complication. I can't recall, what does it show? The northern hemisphere?
