you will see an announcement here, so be sure to check the forum daily.
The only thing I can say is there will be more than 1 PuristS 10th Anniversary piece
And the pieces will range from sort of inexpensive all the way to very expensive, "expensive" is subjective of course!
Cheers,
Anthony

This might include a minute repeater from Lange, or an ALL Platinum piece from Vacheron Constantin! And by ALL Platinum i mean if it will even include the harispring, balance wheel, screws, chatons and every part imaginable crafted out of our most favourite metal!
Cheers

as im reading this Anthony ... makes me proud of the family i belong to... more to say in the right time...
Best Wishes.

When I say "more than 1", this is in reference to the # of brands.
And if there is going to be a Panerai edition, there will only be 1 version.

LARGE Cases . maybe 46 or 47mm ??!
Cheers

if the special model were to be a Radiomir Destro....Daylight? Radical or desacrating? I'm sure the purists will find it in their heart, to forgive me...

... the different time zones the Purists members live in. Ie when posting at 9am west coast time, most likely our friends in Japan will not read the good news until they wake up next morning, by which time there will already be hundreds or thousands of orders from interested people from amongst others the Americas and Europe.
Just a small thought on how to ensure all get a fair chance. Or will there be a forced distribution, based on number of forum members per region?
As you see I am having a very uninspiring day in the office, allowing my brain to spiral out of control and generate questions/problems like the above
But if I were the sole individual in charge of picking people for the PuristS 10th watches, I would give preference to people who have contributed to the forums over time. So a poster with 5000 posts would have preference over a user who has 10 posts. It's only fair that way IMO.
This would only be fair for an edition where demand far outweights supply. So if we have, for example, 50 pieces and # of buyers is 5000, the active forum participant would get preference.
For editions where demand is less than supply, it would be first come first serve then.
Remember, this is only what I would do if I were to pick each and every single person. Also remember, another limiting factor for those interested will be price.

... I guess that the forum will see a lost of activity over the next few weeks
For now, I will just eagerly await the special Purists pieces! Very much looking forward to that, as well as the many discussions that will likely start following announcement / final disclosure of the watches on this site.
Do i put the name here, Kindly advise
Regards and thanks
John
they gonna make 30 pieces and you have to be on the secret inner-inner circle list to get one ??
Pat
looks like I'm screwed on one of these lists (you know what I'm talking about)
Hopefully bette rluck this time
you got the wrong member card !
it's the "inner' - inner circle card you need whouhahaha !!! preferable the 'platinum version of it' ....
oh well it's good that we can laugh about it !
... first see it before you decide to part with your cash?
I vaguely recall a period some 10 -15 years ago, when people bought everything dot.com related without any hesitation at any price. "Irrational exuberance" is what a certain mr. Greenspan called it
I am very curious about a potential Panerai Purists special edition piece and trust that Anthony and the rest of the gang will manage to design something that will delight us (although nothing had been said about a Panerai piece being amongst the Purists editions) but as usual I first would like to see it and then if I like it I will push hard for getting one
Anthony, now we know the 10th Anniversary Paneristi version. I am sure you can do better than that!
All the best!
Cheers!

referring to X'mas 2011?
If we're indeed going ahead, timing wouldn't be in 2010 for sure. Afterall we're celebrating the 10th anniversary of Purists which is 2011.
