Love the dial of the 360. I've been looking for a 594 for some time but it's rare to find them on their own since they were part of a 2-watch set. In the meantime continue to send more pics!

Same for me. I promised myself that I won’t be buying any watch this year. But I already know what I’ll be buying first thing next year, and the list of other buyable watches keep growing, it’s really hard to endure 😅
Believe or not I think this is the strap I choose 14 years ago and have pretty much left it on the watch the whole time.

I have always regarded the 360 as a Franken-watch. A model "assembled" by the members of a private clan, in order to give a sense of belonging. Nothing more than a club tie or cuff links. The faux tritium indices a dead give away. Not an....original....Panerai model, conceived by Panerai, designed by Panerai etc etc. I know, I'm being unreasonable but in my mind, I've always looked at it as a 1.5ft tall Naomi Campbell (for few intitiates). My bad, of course, but I'm funny that way

when the 360 hoollabaloo happened. I know that friendships dissolved in thin air, while chasing after THE Panerai. My alma-mater Panerai website: WatchProSite! I've had a look at them and didn't like it a bit, so I stopped visiting in a New York Minute. So the idea of owning one of their "clan" symbols, never really crossed my mind. I'm not that partial to grapes. I prefer it, when other people go get the grapes and make...wine...out of it, That, wine, I like a lot. Lollllll

The faux lume was indeed a new thing at the time but it subsequently became a feature on other watches. This was merely the first as you know. So when you look at the catalogue today it doesn’t look out of place to me.
For me I don’t think the origin of the design is a relevant argument against it being a good or attractive in isolation. But I do agree that if a watch was not conceived directly by the brand itself it’s hard to hold that watch out as in any way representative of the brands output, even if similar features may have been integrated going forward by the brand.
For those that couldn’t afford to pay the vintage prices, that didn’t hop on those same watches in the early 2000s before they took off, or that weren’t around when they were sold first, the 360 was for some the ideal tribute.
I get that it remains somewhat controversial. People were sour at the time and some remain sour. I’ve seen the same thing play out so many times among other brands too, and it still does. I’ve been on both the “inside” and “outside” in some cases and at the end of the day it may only take away is that people take this stuff way way too seriously.
We could have a similar issue here potentially with the 25th watch, I hope we don’t. I hope that project doesn’t become controversial, we don’t need to lose members over something as silly as that.

in the picture eons ago, my friend. When I still cared about Panerai DNA (a-la-Don Quixote), anything below 44mm, didn't make sense to me. At the time I branded any "littler" a 5.3" Naomi Campbell. I used to ask why, OH WHY, not buying another brand (VC, Breguet, Rolex, Blancpain etc) ? After all there are a boat load of women: Selma Heyek, Scarlett Johansson etc etc that, at 5.2"/5.3" are simply GORGEOUS Why insist on a Naomi's Panerai??

I’m not so hard wearing on my watches. I had own two other PVD Panerai in the past and all held up well.

I agree, we all should own one. And these days some of the others from this time are not very expensive.
I also believe every watch lover should own a Cartier. But I haven’t executed on that one yet.
