Best team with best manager: had to be the winner.
England has become a real force since the last world cup, but still it was not enough this time.
The last three penalty shooters got younger and younger, resulting in an 19 yearold to shoot the last one.
I very much doubt Mancini would go in this order too🤔.

Food for thoughts:
1) uk joked about Immobile, when he went from apparent coma to run as hell for a goal scored by a teammate in a previous game…
2) no words on the paper on the uk penalty in the semi… everything smooth and right here
3) 1 shot in all the match (ok 1 goal… fair enough) and then a pale catenaccio from uk…
4) the vast majority of uk players immediately took off the medal they deserved having played a fantastic tournament which led them till the last second…
5) uk left the court, instead of paying homage to Italy when we put our hands on the Cup…
If this is the well known and appreciated English fair play, I much prefer being labeled as pizza, spaghetti and mandolino…

I think the strongest team won. England piled on the pressure after scoring in the second minute, but Italy got better as the game went on. That said penalties are a lottery.

Italy were always the favourites to win the competition and England did well to reach the final. Penalties are always a lottery. Congratulations to Italy.
I think England could have done more, generally.
Italia always went for the second and third goal in almost all of their matches, to secure the result.
