For some strange reason, it’s back as a daily wearer. I’ve been wearing it regularly for several months when normally I’d wear it only for a few days in a year. Just like old times, really. Looking forward to seeing it reach its 20th birthday next year
I've been eyeing this one some 20 years ago, indeed. These old fellows have a lot of charm.
It was not the popular choice but had more of the vintage sm300 design elements versus the Bond :-)

Same here. Great advice, btw. Not a lot of options at that price point to be honest. A pre-owned Tudor BB41 is what i can think of right off the bat.
The 36mm version of this watch was my first “higher end” mechanical.
I wore it as my only watch for several years but ultimately sold it as the 36mm size, incl. bezel, didn’t look quite right, esp. with the full-sized HEV protrusion.
That being said it had a reliable ETA 2892 inside a thin, comfortable case with a timing bezel — attributes which, aesthetics aside, made for a great daily wearer. And visibility was of course excellent with those sword hands.
I think the design works much better in the full size version you have. Had I bough this one I’d likely still have it.

Which i eventually found too big. If I had bought the 38mm, I’d also likely still have it.
It’s definitely getting a lot of wrist time. Comfort is a great draw these days and the slim profile and Bond bracelet makes it a go to watch
