Orangey goodness for Halloween
This one can appear orangey, copper or salmon depending on the light.

This was taken back in July 2018. I bought this from a dealer sometime around mid 2010, and had it for a few years. The watch lived it’s life in a drawer… so I had to let it go.

Ah, a jumbo ref 2505 . . .
. . . weighing in at a delectable 37.5 mm! Up until just a few weeks ago the largest jumbos in my collection measured a relatively puny 36 mm. Just scored a ca '50 ref 2272, which is now at my watchmaker's for much needed servicing. (No detectible oil on the pivots, or so he said.)
When it returns, let's have a jumbo wrist shot thread. I know there's a few here in our community.

The dial had me at "hello", but it was the 37.5mm size that clinched the deal.

Ha! It's simply because most people think of vintage as smaller diameter watches. These early 50s jumbos are a great size.
Nice seemingly unpolished case and lugs by the way.
One of the lugs has been twisted so much . . .
. . . the 'southern' spring bar is a millimeter shorter than the other.
Early next year, according to my watchmaker . . .
. . . so it will be the first incoming of 2022, Nicolas.
