Where very good watches are concerned, size is irrelevant. This is a very good watch, of course. And unusual in white gold?

. . . congrats on owning a rare and desirable Constellation. Arrowhead markers, too . . . don't believe I've seen another exactly like it.
White gold cases are extremely rare but do exist in both 14 kt and 18 kt for a few Connie references including 2852. There aren't many Omegas left on my wish list, but a black dial Connie cased in white is near the top.

. . . ca '57. Distinguished from ref 2852 by the gold dial, otherwise identical.

I'm having a hard time locating another . . .
. . . exactly like it. The case looks like a ref 14398, but that's an early '60s model fitted with a cal 561 movement. The dial looks like it's from an earlier late '50s Constellation ref 2954 with a cal 504 movement.
Can you share images of the movement and inner caseback, Max?

It's not often that I learn of a previously unknown Connie reference . . .
. . . but that's precisely what happened, Max. Not only had I never seen a 2988, I'd never even heard of this reference, at least not to the best of my memory.
What makes this lapse jarring is that I'm familiar with ref 2989. It never occurred to check one digit off.

Most interesting, Max, because it's an exception to the rule . . .
. . . that chronometers should have seconds marks. Mid-century white gold Omegas usually didn't have them, though. I can't specifically remember seeing a Connie like yours before, but the dial is genuine, so it's got to be a rare original (or possibly service) dial.
Please don't ever allow a watchmaker to change the crown - original crowns that replicate the hidden appearance are no longer available.

Some other rare watches outside Omega, like a cushion Piaget i saw, a Corum Bridge.
A personal vintage that i go to buy, a Breitling Navitimer with a lcd window from 1981.
For fun and interest, the Bulova Accutron.
But that said, i collect diverse Omega’s.
