the German brand specialised in diving items probably chose this name in reference to the fish...

Those really are such beautiful Vintage Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Barakuda's
The first one is my favourite as the dial colours are just so much warmer although both are stunning and appear to be in incredible condition for vintage watches.
