at least on Monday he was busily taking pictures of new watches and collecting information in SIHH. Thanks to Nico, I had a wonderful trip to Geneva with my GF.

first of all, don't be sorry for the report. You make so much job here just to keep us informed and to give us such great informations that you don't have to be sorry for that.
I was astonishes to don't read from you here for some days now and I am happy to hear from "you".
I realy hope that eveythings goes well for you and that it is realy a material thing that keep you away from us. But I now that everyone over here is thinking about you ;-)

While in Geneva, I've been burglared, but luckily, my wife and my daughters weren't there.

I had to change my plans and to come back home in hurry.

I lost a part of my collection and to rethink my security system, as well as dealing with all the administrative bull shit.

My computer was stolen, and I have to repair my old computer which doesn't work well.

So, yes, this is a bad moment for me, but there are worst things in life.

No one is harmed, it is just " material "....

i was feeling uneasy because we did not hear from you for few days especially during this important event period as a watch supporter.

although feeling bad after reading your incident.. at least now i feel a big release because you and your family are okay and only "material" was lost.

I'm glad you're allright, and that you point out the major difference between personal and material damage or loss. Still these kind of occasions are a big personal blow. Like hitting that object with your brand new car. It's just a car, but still it affects your personal wellbeing strongly is my experience. So I hope you can give it a place in your mind and you know what they say; in ten years time you'll laugh about it (well, a little maybe). Hope you still can enjoy the SIHH and that you keep a little faith for mankind even if there are quite some a-holes out there who rather hurt peoples feelings or worse than get a job and buy their own f-ing stuff. And in the end, it's their loss.

There are pieces which are gone which costed me a lot of time, to say the least, to grab, and some sacrifices, too.

I doubt I will be able to afford them, now...

But yes, I keep my faith in mankind... There are good and bad guys, nothing new under the sun.

I am just a bit mentally touched.

To give you an example of what I lost, my 2 TT Polaris have gone...These are not the most expensive pieces which were stolen, by far, but it is the most painful point of the story.

Same for my Duometre, My Dato, my Langematik Anniversary, my 2 Pre Vendome Panerai, and so on...

But hey, let's keep the good vibes, and try to find the good spirit, again....

so sorry to read this Nico .... I know it's only material but nevertheless it was special material and irreplaceble sometimes .... I hope they catch the ones who did this !!

I can only hope you had some insurance ...
