... we all all glad to know that you and your family are physically well.  As far as the lost  possessions go, it might take awhile, but these may be replaced over time.  Hopefully, you've filed a report with the police with documentation (we know you have a lot of pictures).

Perhaps you should publish information on the PuristS site with pictures, serial numbers etc. of the stolen property, so that anyone who sees one of these pieces for  sale in the future may be able to notify you or the appropriate authorities.

I know it's painful now, but like a lot of things in life, this too shall pass!

P.S. It was the theft of my father's LeCoultre watch many years ago that prompted me to find a similar replacement and started me in this hobby.  Sometimes good can come from bad.

It is funny how we fool ourselves: I just took after SIHH 40 watches from the bank vault  after SIHH in order to see what I have and what I "need". This terrible happening teached me four things:

1. I will keep my watches in the bank vault and have just a few at home. 2. I will take an extra insurance to cover possible losses. 3. I will order an alarm system and safety lock to my home and 4. I will invest to a heavy fireproof safe.

Anyhow, thanks God you and your Dears are safe.

the realization that all are safe and well is great comfort,but after that is assessed,the anger remains for your beloved watches....

I suffered 2 robberies and the emptiness they leave is great,,its such a coward crime it should never happen..

my heart is with you my friend,,,give a kiss and a hug to the girls....that is the biggest comfort,,,,

we do have our differences, I am truly sorry that you have been a victim.

The good news are that your family and you are well and you have a community
that feels for you.

If I can be of any assistance (like everyone else) in helping you to recover part of the collection
that was stolen from you, you can count on me.

I think that it could be useful if you posted the models and serial numbers of the stolen pieces
so you can keep an eye out for them.

Watches can be replaced( albeit with a great personal cost) .

The computer is often under rated in terms of inconevenience but I am sure you had all the toghr back up.

It shows that we can never be too careful and my wifes paranoia about keeping too many watches at home is well founded.

I know keep most in the safe and take out one or two for use.

all of us share your loss with sympathy and a good deal of helplessness.

I just thought, it might probably be an idea to post pics of the stolen watches in a special place here, as the community is quite large and browsing all around the global watch marketplaces. This might increase the likelihood to spot your watches if somebody tries to sell them in the internet.

This is a shocking news indeed. And I can't help but think that perhaps you have been specifically targeted, that this is not a random burglary.

If this will make you feel better or relieved, the incidence is unfortunate and a major material loss. But most people lose this much only once in life. It doesn't happen twice. Like the lucky people who win the lottery jackpot. That doesn't happen twice too in a lifetime. So let's say you should be safe from now, with more preventive measures implemented of course for the extra peace of mind.

Once again, I am very, very sorry to hear about this all. I hope whoever did this to you pay.

So sorry to hear this. Particularly that it happened at a time when you wer away doing something for the community. There will be many here feeling the pain for you, but you are taking the only attitude one can to successfully move forward. Bravo.

I hope that like the David Salomon collection, these pieces will be found again.
