I'm travelling tomorrow to pick up mine after a long abscence.
Thank you for this great idea, Nico!
Can't wait to see your pictures and what extraordinary setting you will share with us.
See you soon,
Alex
...with at least one wrist ;-)
How about adding some geographical reference Nicolas? Say, for example, the Polaris with a local monument in the background; or a view from the owner's front door; or the watch dropped in a plate of local cuisine, or around a bottle of the local 'poison'?
Once we have the roll call, there's the calendar, the baseball cap, the key ring ...
Cheers,
pplater.
"or the watch dropped in a plate of local cuisine" (pplater)
As a lover of all good food I would not want to miss the opportunity to see and perhaps
read about local cuisine however please place the Polaris next to the plate and not
drop it into the food.
Thank you
N
will there be a split between grandmas' and freshies ?
I'm afraid I can only contribute to the oldies but goodies....

I finally got one indeed', as you rightfully spotted
Over the pat years, I thought that I would never close this gap in the memovox collection (due to overpricing in the collectors market on this specific watch), however I managed to get one ('68, as you found out) at a 'reasonable' price, so, I 'had' to have it.
However, I must say that I don't really enjoy the watch. I clearly had to have one (in a 'collector' logic), but the watch doesn't really speaks to me, and all the re-edition buzz of the recent years makes this watch not so special anymore.
I am happy I have one - to increase my memovox collection - but this 'polaris buzz' is a lot overdone I think, and there are many more other rare memovox to collect that have not been under the spotlight yet, and that I find more interesting.
But, I will be peased to join the polaris roll call in due course ot course !
The Polaris is one thing, and a good thing, indeed, but there are other Memovoxes which should deserve a real attention, not to say ...Focus.
You, me and a lot of others here and there have to speak about these Lovely Memovoxes, and I would like a lot to see a re edition, or a re interpretation of some of them...
This is not our job, but this is our Passion!
Best, and happy to know that you will join the roll call!
Nicolas
Hope to count you in, my friend.
Best,
Nicolas
Between you, Patrice, Poy, Marv and me, we'll need some imagination...
Best, my friend.
Nicolas
Can´t make up my mind about the missing glow from the index...
I will post if I decide to keep it.

I'm in but the only thing that you wil get from me is a picture of the grift wrapped packadge that my Polaris is still in.
I know it might sound weird but I was so happy to find it that the only way I could justify buying it was to say it was for my birthday. My birthday in in September though.
So if nobody minds I'll post a picture a blue gift wrapped box that containes a Polaris (68 version).
Regards,
George
Use one of your pics...LOLOL...
Mine are desperately horrible...LOL
