Another blast from the past: Jaeger Lecoultre Master Géographique, in platinum.
The Master platinum series, from the late 90's to the early 2000's ( 1997-2201 ) were really something.
Especially this one, the Géographique, with its 38, 5 mm case, its hunter case back and its beautiful blue dial.
This one, the Master Géographique Platinum was issued in 1997 in a limited edition ( like the 5 others from this platinum series ) of 250 pieces.
I have to confess that it is one of the first Jaeger Lecoultre to impress me, to make me dream.
I never had the opportunity to get one, but who knows, maybe one day?
It has class, distinction, elegance, and it offers a friendly complication.
One of the very good relatively modern Jaeger Lecoultre.

an excellent example of a watch that epitomizes modern classic. Austere, beautiful and a watch I would own and wear indefinitely.
I felt just the same with this when I saw it on the wrist of a coleague in 2003 or so
It was the steel version with silver dial, but still gorgeous to me.
Ah yes, that was a very good one, too and a close contender to the platinum, for me.

The hunter case back is not something that you see often on JLC's but on this piece it looks very elegant. The font work on the calligraphy engraving is also a lovely touch.

There is so much on this "small" watch! And yet, its dial is perfectly readable.
Clearly, a materpiece from JLC. I wonder if the platinium gives it a bigger feel on the wrist!
And that hidden hunter caseback, nice!

Lovely watch. I have been eyeing the white gold version with the grey dial and white subdials + hunter caseback. Timeless beauties these for sure.

I love this watch...
I did buy one new many years ago but in rose gold which is still in my collection. I wish more companies made the hunter back cases. Best of both worlds.

I really wish JLC would initiate this again...
I found the blue on blue with white subdial hands very legible, the hunter case back very cool and the 250 piece LE very desirable.
