The all new JLC Geophysic Tourbillon Universal Time
As if having a Gyrolab balance wasn't enough, JLC's brain trust added a flying tourbillon at 4:30. Other than Aukland suffering some incursion, the dial is pure poetry.
At 43mm's, it might be just the right size. Limited to 100 pieces, I suspect the price will be a bit high, but let's face it, all one-hundred examples are already spoken for.
Given the fact that a Geophysic never had a tourbillon, there may be a lack of DNA in this piece. Looking forward to Amanico's take after SIHH.

Geophysic wrist watch! Tourbillon. Seems to me like a great "harvester" with a 12 cylinder Ferrari engine. Anyway, who I am to say.
I'm not too sure about these ones....
My favourite tourbillons are the examples hidden by the dial, until you turn them over!
Well, the Geophysic never had a world time either.. So why not a tourbillon.
But I am looking forward to seeing it at the SIHH...

This is what I was referring to in my post below...
Frankly it doesn't do much for me - the Geophysic is, to me, a sort of a tool watch; a tourbillon doesn't generally fit that conception to my mind.

I do like the rest of the dial treatment, though.
One thing that's curious is that all the blogs are writing the regurgitated press release and saying it is the "world's first world timer with a flying tourbillon". That's quite specific and I'm wondering if someone has made one with a non-flying tourbillon.

Well, GP made a WW.TC with a triple bridge Tourbillon on the caseback.

Next year there will be a special edition: the first ever black-dial flying tourbillon world timer with a titanium case and Gyrolab balance and...in the entire whole world. You get the idea. At some point these statements become a bit meaningless. I mean, does it matter that the tourby is flying or not?

Girard Perregaux, in the Mid 2000's.
A superb tourbillon three gold bridges on the back.
Then, in 2009 / 2010, GP came back with the WW TC Enamel Tourbillon.

I would normally have guessed...
that it would be sub-$100k. However, the platinum will probably bring it to the mark.
I'm more excited about the old Compressor bracelet being re-introduced in the Geophysic and Master Control lines, as evidenced by the "soft launch" of the Master Blacks in the Fall with bracelet (MC, Geo and Chono), and the pics of the Geophysic True Seconds and Worldtime with the bracelet (as posted on Revolution). JLC has had a hole in the collection with no bracelets.

Even if I am not a fan of them, it is a good thing / smart decision.

... There has never been a Memovox with the inner-dial decorated by a cloisonne mosaic. Not that I've seen anyway. Have you?
