The Mark XII is a little charmer. Enjoy!

I'm struck by Mark XII too, great watch & nice to know the link between the two is, is the movement.

Thanks for sharing

Is that IWC post-service?

I noticed a thread few months ago when you were worrying about whether Richemont would perform a service job sensitive to the details of the watch. How'd that turn out?

Yes… literally just received the XII back from service yesterday

Went with Jack Freedman/Superior Watch and so far everything about the service occurred as expected. All the original elements retained as requested (tritium hands, fish crown), although new gaskets were installed.

Perfect!

That's what I want: everything to be made mechanically and functionally shipshape while the aesthetic elements are permitted to age.

Follow-up note for the future

Jack mentioned that starting this January (2025), Superior will no longer accept Mark XII’s for service. IWC won’t supply any parts and the pitfalls of working on delicate tritium parts isn’t worthwhile from a business standpoint. Mine was probably one of the last XII’s they serviced.

That's very disappointing!
