My latest acquisition, the 5170R-010 in rosegold !
Dear fellow WIS,
Last week, I took delivery of my new (to me) Patek 5170R-010 😎.
Loving the dial and the chrono pusher actuation (though it's not quite as good as the Datograph's), and I think it nicely compliments my 5270G and OG Datograph. It features the slimmer case profile of the former and the relatively small diameter of the latter at 39,4 mm, and hence feels perfect on the wrist.
Scope is full set, and the watch dates back to 2017. It was recently revised by the seller (their watchmaker previously worked at Patek Netherlands service center), and, according to my Timegrapher, it runs dead on at +1 second per day, stellar performance.

How do the applied Brequet numerals look 👀 in the metal ?
Thank you GLau ! The applied numerals look amazing, so much nicer than the printed numerals on the Lange 1815 chronograph that I used to own.
I wholeheartedly agree ! For me the best looking iteration of the 5170, together with the 5170G-010 😎.
The platinum reference is very good looking too, but not a huge fan of the Roman numerals on that one (all very personal of course).

The gorgeous base caliber CH 29-535 PS is a visual feast... what are your impressions when louping the Dato in comparison with your 5170/5270 movements?

I will give this a try and let you have my findings. From what I read online, the finishing on the Dato is more visually exuberant, but that does not necessarily mean that it's better of course.
The best of all other 5170's variations out there for sure..

Congrats to the timepiece! Amazing feel on the wrist, superb movement and buttery smooth hand winding experience. I have the same but with a white dial - fits also well with the Patek cuff links (wedding gift from my wife)

That's the reference I have (5170R-001) and it's so versatile in semi-formal and above.
