Would You Like Your Watch To Come Pre-Scratched From The Factory?

Could you say this watch is scratch resistant? Since it comes already pre-scratched from the factory? And since if you added your own scratches, it wouldn't be noticeable?
I like this "meteorite" finish! And I have a clumsy friend whom would be perfect for this watch!

I have a clumsy friend who scratches his watches left and right. Every day he's getting his watch scratched in some elevator door, door way, wall, or fence. This would be a great watch for him!
Seiko did this in the 1990s, with the SUS line. Not exactly scratched in a conventional way but pre-stressed, like the then popular stone washed jeans. 👖
I'm not sure calling it pre-scratched is really fair.

I can't imagine how long and hard it would be to get even close to replicate this look on a non filed version in fact i would say it is virtually impossible. But I suppose for those that are rough on their watches this design feature would be perfect as their additional contributions would be hard to see.
You're absolutely right! I meant it really tongue in cheek.

It's totally a joke. But, from a pragmatic and practical perspective, having a watch with these scratches does hide scratches a clumsy person would otherwise get on such a watch. So, this is great for someone who would likely bang a watch around. And yes, it's definitely difficult and time consuming to achieve this cool finish!
I really like the look too. It's supposed to symbolize rock/imperfection. And the mirror is supposed to symbolize water/perfection. A great juxtaposition!
It’s totally cool to wear Lee Ufan’s art piece on the wrist. The monochromatic feel, interplay between the black abyss of a dial and the meteorite/rock texture of the bracelet and case is minimalistic and natural. I think Ufan’s artistic style is easy to comprehend and appreciate. The watch isn’t attention seeking. It has that IYKYK kinda quality to it. I friggin dig it. I bought one and quite wait to receive it next month.
Looking forward to reading your impressions of it! I've been staying away from the Bulgari store. They called me. They have one. And I'm afraid if I go in, I'll like it so much that I'll buy it!
It’s rather ingenious to turn “scratches” into an artistic expression. It’s done with purpose and intention therefore I can’t really consider them as scratches.
