I showed this watch to a friend recently and it's been in my collection for many years. I just forgot how nice it is to wear. Always nice to spend time with old friends. HAGWE. ...
Ubik, My friend, from the Breitlings, have the same watch! I know because I took it to my watchmaker for a cleaning/oiling. Once more, " bright minds think alike ". Cheers, Nilo
. . . there is a pigeon that roosts right above the one spot in my balcony where reflections are minimized. And yes, I had to wash the balcony before taking this photo ;-) . . . ...
. . . this one gets passed over for wrist time more than any other in my collection, but when I do wear it, I find it immensely enjoyable. It's the sort of watch . . . . . . Bogie would wear ;-) . . . ...
Its also very bad for you Art. In UK the balconies on tower blocks have netting across them to stop the flying rats from settling. It solves a lot of cleaning and illness problems. Best G
. . . but I've been drenching the pigeons at night while they're asleep with cold water. Got the last one trained a few months ago - he never returned. The new one, a totally grey bird, is a clever devil - he skipped roosting the previous night, but retur...
Hi Bim, you are really very relaxed with your young dog and your fleece - imagine he would have torn your Legend Diver :-)! I enjoy myself with solving tricky crossword puzzles and watching the last beautiful colours of autumn before the colourless time o...
I hardly pressed the "insert" button and you spot it and send a reply! You are right, of course. It is the watch I asked your and Jeff´s advice for and which Graham had a gracious look at before I bought it. Actually I posted a pic in last week´s WS threa...
As I had to sell my non-red Sub last year to get some funds for buying and renovating a house, I was eager to get one Sub back after some financial consolidation and happened to find this very well preserved Red Sub with box and papers. Graham was extreme...
I sbould clarify Daos, All i did was go to the private sellers house to ensure that the watch was owned by the seller. That made Andreas happy to pay by bank transfer. Just a very minor bit of helpfulness on my part. G
Very nice Darren, Its interesting how things patinate in different ways. My 5513 has a very faded bezel yet yours is still black. Its difficult to tell in the pics, but is your dial gilt or a white service dial. Mine has a white metres first service dial ...
Mine is indeed a gilt dial, but my photography skills, particularly with my Samsung phone, leave a lot to be desired. I'll try to take some better pictures with a real camera soon. I sure have enjoyed wearing it so far - quite a looker. Darren
Just got home to my new phone. First picture attached which, I know, isn't very good but it was the first. (I didn't even clean off the watch face crystal). ...
. . . a 30T2rg chronometer (or chronomètre, if you prefer). Mine is from 1946, 14 kt yellow gold, and 33 mm nominal diameter, with the same dial as Kyle's. ...
about what I am wearing today. One look at his face tells me so. He is a Border Collie/Kelpie cross. Too smart for his own good. My daughter dotes on him. It's only a watch I have good table manners I know a trick or two or three Peek a boo I love my beau...
First, there was a static shot of my vacation watch while passing a great time in Brittany: A day later, I made an unlucky, brief flight with an even more unlucky landing on sharp stones, and this is the result: Forget the bandage, the real tragedy are th...
The watch works fine, no measurable change in everyday accuracy. The bezel ring is massively scratched, will not be entirely polishable, but for a laser treatment the watch is certainly not valuable enough. It is a scar made by life ... My hand is a bit c...
.. the watch survived :-) .. ... what did you say about a hand or something ??? ... or was it a band ?? ... or a dozen ... ?? Oh that movie .. 'the dirty dozen'.. :-)
