Wrist Scan for Friday 11th is Open Now! Theme: “It’s All about the Dial!!”
Hello dear Friends!! I have the pleasure of being your host this weekend.
And as I announced last Wednesday we will focus on the dials of our watches.
We watch lovers evaluate our beloved watches through many of their features: case and lug shapes, movements, brands, models, etc. but truth is that in many opportunities we fall in love at first sight with a watch just for its dial.
The dial is the face of a watch and shows its spirit and it is a very important aspect of the overall impression a watch makes in our horologial souls.
The challenge for this weekend is to share with us a watch or watches which made such a deep impression on our hearts and souls just when we viewed their dials.
Please remember that you may submit pictures to participate in any or all of our three categories:

Best Watch of the Week (which will be chosen among all pictures received during the event).

Event will close on Sunday afternoon around 5PM UTC.

So many special dials on these watches to choose from. I especially love the vintage Speedmaster and Rolex.
Thanks a lot dear Captain for your kind comments. Glad you like the vintage watches dials. Sometimes dials like the one of my early Submariner ref 5512 are subject of debate:...
... as some people consider it "interesting patina" and others "unaceptable decay", Lol! I personally have mixed emotions about these extreme dials but in this particular case and considering it belongs to an early 5512 liked the overall character of the watch as it was found.

... your wonderful choices for this weekend.
Anyway I will say that I´m specially fond of your 5512 with minutes track variant and that fabulous Concord GMT ... but wait! and that beautiful brown red Sub. Stunning shots as usual including your signature "near the sea" background ones.

As finally the sun came out in Germany I took the chance to take a closer picture of the dial of the Corrigia01 with its vintage black dial. If you zoom in u see a bit of the details of it. Besides this faded out blackish grey dial it has some kind of round lume marks on the dial like dust. Similar to vintage watches which had several services, water entries etc …

The Corrigia01 is actually sold out.
He is working on the prototype for a new bronze collection with a different movement and dials as mine though. And a pretty interesting series of black DLC watches and steel version in which u can take of the crown guard by yourself … they look really good on my point of view.

I had this Reverso when it came out but sold it. A big mistake.

Thank you so much Thomas for your kind comments on my selection for this weekend. Regarding my Moon Phase Speedmaster it is the more common steel case version which I own...
... since a few years ago. I fell in love with it just after viewing its mesmerizing dial which I feel is the same (or very similar) to the Blue Side of the Moon ceramic case.
And yes, I know we share the love for the Omega WT, of which you own the stunning gold case version. A great dial in both versions indeed.

As far as I remember the Speedmaster Moonphase in steel has a better WR than the ceramic version. So a very practical and still similar beautiful choice. ☺️🙏

… so let me join with my all time favorite, the Blancpain Flyback Split Second A’Toute Vitesse.
The two different types of finish, the hand painted numerals, the clarity, balance and colors… it’s simply outstanding imho.
