There are vendors on Ebay that offer vintage movements . . .

 

. . . with their respective dials, salvaged from cases that've been scrapped for their gold content.  Find the movement, and chances are you'll eventually find the dial.  That could take years, but it's been done before.  I've managed the feat, although only in an academic sense: passed on a refinished ref 2782 a few years ago, only to discover a correct dial on Ebay earlier this year.


Personally, I wouldn't make an offer on the one you're considering unless it was offered at essentially scrap price.   My guess would be around twelve grams of gold content.
