Thanks Hoi.
I've only seen two Seamaster pie pans - one mint Grand Luxe Seamaster with the step sided dial as shown in the Omega book for sale about 4 or 5 years ago (sold for $10,800 back then!!!), one full rotor 50x just recently that was beat up a bit (sold for just under $3000 I think). The date at 6 is what did it for me. I've said this on other forums: never thought I'd see one in person let alone own an example.
Yes, the hands are probably long and should be the same length as the Constellation De Luxe shown above I think. I have a query into Omega about that and have those length hands already to go if necessary.

I think they're both paint, but I'll take a look under magnification to be sure. I prefer my 168.005 over the unishell front loading versions too, but both house the 564 so I don't make too much of a differentiation in quality. Now, if we're talking the b...
2799 &2699.
By: hoipolloi : June 27th, 2011-11:32
Hi Dennis. Talking about the bumper movements, I prefer the 2699 over the 2799 just because the 2699 is the first model with Pie pan dials which openned a golden era of the legendary Pie pan dials. Here is my 2699, in pristine condition with De Luxe dial....

You guys are giving me a bit of gold envy. Although I still favor Art's stainless black guilloche with pink arrowhead markers. Mike a a sweet puppy like Art's too. This message has been edited by cicindela on 2011-06-28 04:55:16
