while doing some research on a piece that my dad passed down to me.
Looks like mine is a 14k gold cap omega dynamic. 166.0079
Sorry to dig out this thread and revive it but here's a quick pic. Would love more info on the watch too! It seems the crown is a bit loose on mine and of course it's probably not waterproof anymore as the caseback states! 
The strap apparently was replaced for a new one before it was put in a drawer and my dad hasn't worn it since the 80s. Can these be serviced by Omega still? Of course I'd like to keep everything original but the crown needs to be fixed. And also I was wondering if the strap version can have a bracelet put on?

Small by today's standards, but there was an official range of ladies-sized Dynamic's I believe. The mens size were 42mm across and the ladies 29mm. This classic looks perfect on you, however. Andrew

I find the band on this one uncomfortable - the metal reinforcement is too big for me. I don't know if there are NOS bands that are completely soft. I guess the close up made the little blue one look like a full sized. Best, Ginger...
