Small seconds, for two . . .

. . . reasons. First and foremost, the hands of the sweep version aren't aesthetically proportioned - most seem to agree on this point.
Second, the script and layout of the small seconds version more closely reflects the original references (like the 2576) than the sweep seconds model. And the small seconds cal 343 chronometers are more desirable to vintage collectors as there were fewer of them made.
I'm holding out for a small seconds with a black dial. Or a manually wound Rail or Ranchero. Or, a Speedy Pro with the latest technical change incorporated in the Apollo 8.
Otherwise, it's strictly vintage from here on out.
