Omega Seamaster 1000m “Ploprof” (ref. 166.093), as-found documentation (work in progress)
As a few members asked about background, below is a short factual summary of what I’ve been able to document so far. This reflects the watch strictly “as found” and is still a work in progress. Omega Seamaster 1000m (ref. 166.093), mid-1970s – as found This Omega Seamaster 1000m has remained in the same family since new and is presented in fully as‑found condition.
The monobloc case appears unpolished, retaining its original geometry and surface character. The dial, hands, bezel, crystal, and original Omega mesh bracelet are believed to be original to the watch.
At this stage, the focus is on careful documentation and preservation rather than restoration or servicing. Minor age-related issues are present, including a crown that does not currently secure perfectly and no longer allows time-setting; no intervention has been undertaken.
Further research and documentation are ongoing and will be shared in due course.
