You can tell I am a novice with vintage dials
although I did buy one vintage Patek that the dial had been restored by Patek but not changed if that makes any sense.
Vintage is a realm of its own, sham. A Moser with the slightest imperfection . . .
. . . would be returned immediately. A 1940 Omega with a dial that looks like it's been thru the wash a few times? Delectable! Go figure ;-) . . .
Movement is a cal 30, first of the series that culminated . . .
. . . in the 30T2. Produced in 1940, and delivered to the UK. I'm not at my computer at the moment, but will check for images when I'm back home later today. Art

That is an 80 year old piece. How does it keep time as the movement was known for its chronometric qualities or at least the 30T2 RG was?!
It's one of the better performers in my vintage Omega collection, losing about three seconds . . .
. . . per day on my wrist.

It just shows that little progress has been made in the last 80 years in the sphere of accuracy!

Today a colleague came to me to show his around 70 year old watch. He say, it is accurate and manual winding. As i see your Omega, than i saw the watch of my colleague. I was guessing which brand he wear, and i can say at this moment, it is maybe an Omega...
