Well, a few years ago I played with a Grey Side of the Moon.

 By: MichaelC : August 28th, 2019-14:31
I wear large watches like 44mm Offshores and 47mm Panerai and they sit fine. The Grey Side, I could not get it comfortable to wear. Pity, because I love that particular watch. The 45mm Planet Oceans, some are very appealing, but I just never could pull th...

It came after considering many models.

 By: MichaelC : August 27th, 2019-18:25
And I like a few more, this one just ticks all the boxes.

There we go Michael

Wow, super set against the black bezel!

Beautiful combination.

thanks Michael. it is a very special piece I have to say

 By: agyzace : August 29th, 2019-17:16
plus the story behind it for me is making it even more dear (wanted to buy it for 10+ years; never prioritized; found it new at Omega three years ago; I passed it and regretted it badly; then out of the blue, I found it new at Omega/Tourbillon Boutique in...

I am not familiar with this model...

Was it a special edition? I can't find it on Omega's website. Just curious.

Ah, thank you Alex. [nt]

Congrats on the addition to the family. M4

A true classic

 By: FlyingSnoopy : August 27th, 2019-12:14
congratulations! Cheers

I ordered it sight unseen.

I have tried on the larger 44mm Omegas, I knew this 42 would fit like a glove. I was obviously not able to compare crystal options. I usually prefer a solid caseback, but this will be a long term keeper and I like this version.

Congratulations! [nt]

I've always wanted one and I still don't have one...

Big Congrats Michael!! Excellent choice! This is one of the most iconic watches of all times, and the most iconic of all Omegas in my opinion.

 By: Subexplorer : August 27th, 2019-13:31
A timeless and classic design, with all the story in connection with Nasa and Moon landing behind, in a most practical watch for every day use. I feel there is no better choice for your first or your only Omega. Though I suspect that once you have entered...

Appreciate the nice words. Some others are on my radar...

 By: MichaelC : August 27th, 2019-18:34
The black and yellow Apollo is quite possibly my next one.

There's a fair argument to be made for the Speedmaster as the most significant . . .

 By: Dr No : August 27th, 2019-13:59
. . . wristwatch ever. In continuous production since '57 . . . I can think of only one other contender that conceivably makes the same claim, and that one's not nearly as accessible. Speedmaster - the icon for the common man. I rather like that distincti...

I love how you put that Dear Art.

 By: MichaelC : August 27th, 2019-18:38
I will always be a common man, regardless of what I have or don't have. The Omega suits me just fine. And thank you for your years of leadership around this awesome brand, I have learned much from you and others, of course.

This is my favorite watch

 By: ripper444 : August 27th, 2019-16:28
I love it on bracelets more than straps! Looks great. Classic

Thank you Fernando. It seems I could have made this decision some time ago.

 By: MichaelC : August 27th, 2019-20:47
I'm not sure why it took some time to figure out... it seems real easy now.

I did not see this coming..

 By: Echi : August 27th, 2019-21:17
Hope you can share with us how this came about It surely pops on your wrist! Would love to read some impressions from an AP and Freak man at some point. Enjoy! Best, Echi

I was looking for a Classic, and I have wanted to own an Omega.

 By: MichaelC : August 28th, 2019-14:35
