If it was my watch, I would have the crown replaced and the stem checked. Ideally the movement should be serviced, oils removed and replaced. You then know that is been done. Make sure that you choose your watchmaker / service carefully.

.....shouldn’t be too difficult getting a proper replacement crown for it. I like the fact it’s also got an original omega glass on it as well with the cyclops for the date. 👌If you’ve got some more pics you can provide that would also be useful. Regards ...

and other vintage Omega are great to collect. Constellations through the 700 series movements and even some 1000 series are very good. There is a lot of homework to do though. Crowns, dials, hands and cases are all little minefields to navigate, just to g... 

Mechanical problem can always be fixed but not the "seen" parts. Isn't the "value" drop if the cosmetic parts no longer original even faded. Thanks for chip in, for this one, have decided to skip it after talked to my watchmaker.
