Wanted to share my newest acquisition, the Omega Milestone 1941 Officers' chronograph. It's the ninth watch from Omega's ten piece museum collection run.
Don't think I've seen alot about this watch, or the museum collection in general. Meant to evoke military watches from the 1930s and 1940s, it features articulating lugs and telemetry and tachymeter scales. Cathedral hands and inky black dial add to the throwback look. The whole package is certainly unique.
It features calibre 2303, based on the Piget 1285. It's a manual wind chronograph using a column wheel and vertical clutch with a free sprung balance and of course a coaxial escapement.
Anyway, on to some quick pics.
