Looks like Omega retained the tooling created for the 2008 limited edition made during the Beijing Olympics.

Probably wouldn't pull the trigger due to the fully polished case; at any rate, both of the recent homages are personally desirable.
Maybe Omega will make a version in steel . . . that would be compelling.

so I guess I like it.
very true, it is exciting when the whole is greater than the sum of the parts
for this one, I think I will have to see in the metal. I do own a CK 859 reissue, and if one small thing bugs me about it, is the size is just a tick large for my wrist given a light dial. At 37mm, this one might be a better fit ....
