As it turned out, I learned of the Railmaster project at the same time, and held off for mainly that reason. Interestingly enough, I found it intriguing not as a Speedmaster limited, but on its own merits. The æsthetic is deeply compelling, apart from its legendary lineage.

Do you mean the new non limited Railmaster or the Trilogy?
I also like the new regular Railmaster. Perfect everyday watch, Omega nailed it witj perfect 40 mm size. The trilogy IMO is too shiny for my taste. Please post your Railmaster if you already aquired one. Cheers
