“0552” is the code-number specified for Navy personnel.
“923 7697” is the number for a divers’ watch.
The letter “A” is a code meaning a watch with a screw-in crown.
Of course “007” is James Bond’s agent number.
"62” is the year of the very first James Bond film Dr. No.
The so called "broad arrow" above the 6 o'clock indicator and on the center of case back is a symbol used by British Armed Forces in every piece of equipment issued and owned by the British Ministry of Defense, be it firearms, edged weapons or watches, etc.
Also note that the case back is of the "NAIAD lock" type that is a kind of "bayonet" closure which allows that the inscriptions keep same position every time after opening the watch for service.
