Hello dear Myles. Thank you so much for your kind comments. Agree with you that this new Generation is a very important step from Omega. A complete renovation of a traditional model and design.
I´m sure that Omega will surprise us with different variations around this basic design which now is limited to three different bezel colors and some changes in the basic black dial.
I also suspect that the new James Bond film not only will bring a new star as the 007 but also some special variant of this watch on the wrist of the new Bond.
Regarding straps/bracelets the present watches are offered with a rubber strap but I don´t know if the mesh strap from the SM300 NTTD could be fitted to the new case of this watch. It is possible that in the future a mesh bracelet could be offered as an option as well as the diferent dials you mention.
Regarding to people with critics on the design, size or case thickness... well ... we know that no Watch Brand can make happy to every watch owner or potential buyer around the world. A watch is very personal object and tastes and opinions vary so much.
I´m glad you like this release and you had the chance of trying it on your wrist in the store.

Super write up and the case you make for the blue bezel is strong 💪
Particularly the point about white contrast on the black dial against the blue bezel, the same combo that makes the BLNR a standout 🔵⚪️⚫️

Strangely enough, the new Planet Ocean (I saw them in the store displays a couple of times this year) reminds me more the old Seamaster 300 (what amazing specimens you own my friend!) than the current divers. Thanks for sharing your experience. Simone

Lots of very good points raised. I guess the relief Seahorse omission was a cost cutting measure, unfortunately 🤷🏻♂️ I was personally hoping for - and those hopes were fired up by some early reporting - that Omega decided to make the watch a tad slimmer ...

My Breitling Aerospace from 2000 or so didn’t have an issue with machining a relief case back 😉
