One more tribute. I wish the world could once again come together and focus on an aspiration for all mankind, a feat to inspire and awe the masses. Times were so very contentious in the 60s as well, of course, but nothing seems to have brought the world together like the moon landing.

I can still see CBS’s Walter Cronkite take of his glasses and brush away a tear just after Neil Armstrong says “The Eagle has Landed.” I suspect many of his viewers did the same.
